·        Cooling system was required
·        Constant maintenance required
·        Only used for specific purposes
·        Costly and not versatile

Third Generations of Computers

·        Air conditioning was required.
·        Highly sophisticated technology required for the manufacturing of IC chips.

Fourth Generations of Computers

·      The latest technology is required for manufacturing of
    Microprocessors.

Fifth Generations of Computers

·      Highly sophisticated technology is required for manufacturing
   ULSI Microprocessors.
